WISE Events

The Wonderful Undergraduate Research Symposium is hosted twice a year at the end of the fall and spring semesters, serving as a celebration of student achievement, collaboration, and academic growth. Family members, friends, and faculty are invited to enjoy an evening together with dinner and student presentations showcasing their work at WISE.

Monthly safety meetings promote a culture of safety among students enrolled at WISE. Safety meetings cover a wide variety of topics including lab safety, equipment maintenance, how to respond to hazards and emergencies, and everyday safety topics that apply to any environment. Meetings are hosted every third Wednesday of the month.

WISE hosts and participates in a variety of programs over the summer including the Research Fellows Program, Wonderful Leaders Program, Research Experiences for Undergraduates, and ChEER Internship for Youth Interns (ages 15-18). Visit WISE Programs to learn more.

Headquartered at the University of Kansas, the U.S. National Science Foundation, Engineering Research Center - EARTH (Environmentally Applied Refrigerant Technology Hub) focuses on creating a circular and sustainable refrigerant economy. EARTH hosts webinars, conferences, and community outreach events.
