Wonderful Institute for Sustainable Engineering Hosts Fall 2025 Undergraduate Research Symposium

Lawrence, Kansas — December 9, 2025 — The Wonderful Institute for Sustainable Engineering (WISE) proudly hosted its Fall 2025 Wonderful Undergraduate Research Symposium, showcasing the latest research from talented students in its undergraduate engineering programs. This annual symposium is held twice each year at the end of the fall and spring semesters.

The Fall 2025 event featured 10 individual and group presentations delivered by 17 undergraduate students, highlighting innovative projects across a range of engineering disciplines. Beyond being an academic showcase, the symposium is a fun and meaningful celebration of the students’ hard work throughout the semester. Family members, friends, and faculty are invited to enjoy an evening together with dinner and student presentations.

The Wonderful Symposium gives students a valuable opportunity to present their research with confidence and pride while sharing their accomplishments with those who have supported them along the way. WISE is incredibly proud of this outstanding group of students and their dedication to research, collaboration, and impact.

For the first time, the Wonderful Symposium was livestreamed on YouTube, allowing a broader audience to engage with the work being done at WISE. Viewers are encouraged to follow the new WISE YouTube channel (@KUWISE) for future content and event coverage.
