Wonderful Institute for Sustainable Engineering participates in the Big Event
A Beautiful Spring Morning with Kay
A group of chemical engineering students, alumni, and staff from the Wonderful Institute for Sustainable Engineering at the University of Kansas came together again for the KU Big Event. Led by Chemical Engineering Senior Hannah Uhl, we met on a beautiful spring morning at Mrs. Kay Kent’s home (1916 Jenny Wrenn Road). She had everything ready for us and we cleaned her deck floor, screens, and teak wood furniture. Hannah, Sarah, Tiffany, and Mark worked on the furniture, Kalin and Ray the deck, and Ryan the screens. Mrs. Kent has lived there for 47 years, and we hope to see her again next year. A nice break from doing homework, writing proposals, and preparing for exams.
